Capoeira is great for kids! It combines martial arts, gymnastics, music and dance, and it is extremely active, acrobatic, playful and it provides a fun challenging workout.

Children of all ages learn Capoeira very quickly, and the fun friendly atmosphere develops confidence and self esteem! Capoeira movements involve the entire body, so they improves their strength, coordination, reflexes and flexibility. The Capoeira music motivates and creates an exciting learning atmosphere as they learn to sing in Portuguese and play the traditional Capoeira instruments such as Berimbau, Pandeiro, Atabaque, Reco Reco and Agogo. Most of all, the Capoeira class is a great place to make new friends!

Kids Capoeira at Boys & Girsl Club

As a part of our committment to the community, CDO Hawaii offers free Kids Capoeira Class at Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii. A student must be registered at Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii (BGCH). Click here to enroll. You will need to be at least 7 years old to register.

Class Fees

Kids Capoeira at Boys & Girls Club

Kids Capoeira classes are offered for FREE by Capoeira Cordão de Ouro Hawaii volunteers. You will need to be a member of Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii to participate.

We only ask our students to purchase our school uniform (T-shirt & Pants) to enroll in our Capoeira classes. Just like Karate or Judo, we follow a belt system to grade our students. To see our graduation system, please click here. Occationally, we hold an event called "Batizado" (baptisum) so that kids can receive their belt or advance to the next belt.

Member Rates (A student of Professor Duas Duzias and/or intends to graduate from Capoeira Cordão de Ouro Hawaii)

For Kids Capoeira classes at CDO Hawaii Academia, the class fees are same as regular rate. Please see Class Fees for more info.

Recycling Fundraiser

We collect HI-5 cans and bottles to raise money for our Kids Capoeira Program. Please bring your recycables to our class, and we will take them to the redemption center. Teach kids about the importance of recycling while they learn Capoeira!
